A 3-Stage R&D Journey

At the integrated pavilion, SNU Bundang Hospital’s R&D support unfolds as one connected journey.

Institute of Biomedical Science

Established in 2012 as SNU Bundang Hospital’s central research hub. Korea’s first hospital-led interdisciplinary cluster, the “Healthcare Innovation Park,” runs specialized centers in big data, medical AI, precision medicine, and regenerative medicine.

Biocore

Building on that research infrastructure, and backed by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea, Biocore helps bio startups within their first 3 years grow into global companies through the hospital’s equipment, facilities, funding, and mentoring.

Gyeonggi AI Healthcare Program

The final step: bringing developed technology to market. Since 2020, Gyeonggi Province and the hospital have built this collaborative system, using the hospital’s large-scale medical data to support the commercialization of AI medical device companies statewide.
